A lease is an agreement, usually in writing, whereby two or more parties mutually agree to respect and comply with a series of conditions.

It is a pact between the owner of a property (lessor) and the occupant of the property (lessee), who through an agreement establish the rules for the use of the property, in exchange for a monthly payment called rent.
